I work with data; primarily focusing on purpose-built and interactive data visualizations in R's ggplot2. Usually, these visualizations end up in some kind of dashboard built in R Shiny. I also wrote a master's thesis on how educational data is used in post-secondary institutions.
The goal of my work as a data practitioner is to move past being a bottleneck to analysis of data. Instead, I aim to empower stakeholders to apply their deep industry knowledge more directly to the data; allowing for quicker routes to insights that either support or surprise current knowledge.
In my game design, I gravitate towards novel mechanics that utilize unique input methods. Most of my prototypes were created for my own musing and now lay dormant in the vaults of code.
